Introduce your toddler to the magic of Mandarin with Ms. Miranda, a licensed dual language teacher at P.S. 169 Sunset Park Elementary with an MA in Early Childhood and Special Education from NYU. She will help caregivers and their little ones discover the joys of reading through interactive stories, vibrant picture books, and playful engagement. Children will naturally learn Chinese through play, no experience needed!

We'll read a story together in each session and then the kids will engage in open-ended hands-on play, exploring and interacting in their own way as there's no one "right" way to play! Every child can engage at their own level. Participants will focus on building natural linguistic foundations, cultural curiosity, and creating bonding experiences with the goal of sparking a lifelong love of learning Mandarin.

Introduce your toddler to the magic of Mandarin with Ms. Miranda, a licensed dual language teacher at P.S. 169 Sunset Park Elementary with an MA in Early Childhood and Special Education from NYU. She will help caregivers and their little ones discover the joys of reading through interactive stories, vibrant picture books, and playful engagement. Children will naturally learn Chinese through play, no experience needed!

We'll read a story together in each session and then the kids will engage in open-ended hands-on play, exploring and interacting in their own way as there's no one "right" way to play! Every child can engage at their own level. Participants will focus on building natural linguistic foundations, cultural curiosity, and creating bonding experiences with the goal of sparking a lifelong love of learning Mandarin.

No prior Mandarin experience is required. Whether you're a native speaker or just beginning your Mandarin journey, this inclusive environment offers a supportive space for families at every level of fluency so that native speakers and the curious beginners can learn and grow together.

In this special Suzuki‑inspired group setting, adults are invited to participate, learn, and model musical curiosity—creating a shared journey that strengthens skills and deepens connection.

Full‑sized violins are available for caregivers who wish to join in the learning (participation is encouraged but never required). Children will need their own child‑sized violin for home practice so they can continue building skills between classes.

Private lessons are highly recommended and offered at a discounted rate when you enroll in this class. We do have a very limited number of violins for sale, if you need help finding one.
