Toddler Junior Jam classes are fun-filled, structured music classes that emphasize discovering the singing voice and developing an internal sense of beat. Children will explore music through movement, instruments, games and more! Taught by Ms. Sarah, M.A. in Music Education from Columbia University.

Tiny Makers classes are taught by a Speech Therapist. They use songs, sensory play, books, and hands-on art experiences to encourage early communication, vocabulary growth, and the development of executive functioning skills.

After each class, caregivers will receive an email outlining the skills targeted during the session, along with activities to help reinforce those skills at home.

This class is a collaboration with Focused Creations.

Little Ukulele is a great introduction to the guitar family as the ukulele is a perfect child-size guitar! Learning ukulele teaches the same basic skills as learning guitar in a slightly simpler format while being a full instrument in itself.

Little Ukulele includes ukulele instruction, movement and dance, music fundamentals, games and songs to develop the singing voice. Attendance is capped at 8. Drop-off suggested.

Stories don't have to stay on the page. Sensory Story Chest pairs an interactive read-aloud with hands-on sensory activities that bring each tale to life. Let toddlers touch, explore, and play their way through each story! Every session features a new story and multiple thoughtfully prepared sensory bins filled with open-ended materials that invite scooping, pouring, building, sorting, and imaginative play; perfect for curious little ones approximately 2-4 and the grown-ups who love exploring alongside them.

We will explore improvisational music, beloved classic children's songs and nursery rhymes in a safe, structured, playful, and inclusive environment. No musical experience needed!

In this special Suzuki‑inspired group setting, adults are invited to participate, learn, and model musical curiosity—creating a shared journey that strengthens skills and deepens connection.

Full‑sized violins are available for caregivers who wish to join in the learning (participation is encouraged but never required). Children will need their own child‑sized violin for home practice so they can continue building skills between classes.

Private lessons are highly recommended and offered at a discounted rate when you enroll in this class. We do have a very limited number of violins for sale, if you need help finding one.

Young children and toddlers can explore the orchestra instrument families (strings, woodwinds, brass, keyboard & percussion) with live demonstrations each week from various Cortelyou Music & Play faculty members and guests. Kids will enjoy a variety of styles of music in digestible bite sized portions and get to play with musical toys. They will also touch and in some cases play the real instruments.

This class is mainly geared toward children 2-5 that will soon be able to start private lessons however it is open to older children and younger toddlers as well.

Tiny Music Moments is an abbreviated session of Music Moments for Little Ones designed for those who prefer a shorter and earlier session.

Tiny Music Moments is a small music therapy group designed to support your child's development through evidence-based musical interventions. Instruments like shakers, scarves, tambourines, drums and bells are provided. We will explore improvisational music, beloved classic children's songs and nursery rhymes in a safe, structured, playful, and inclusive environment. No musical experience needed!
